Police Secure Semifinal Match AFF On Bung Karno

Jakarta Police decided to add strength to the security AFF Cup semi-final match between Indonesia and the Philippines at the Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) which will take place on Thursday (12/16/2010) tonight.

"After the meeting last night, we decided to add personnel to 3,000 people. This does not include the reserves," said Commissioner Baharudin Djafar told reporters at Jakarta Police Public Relations Bureau said on Thursday.

Previously, Baharudin said it deployed 1,600 security force personnel, who will be placed around SUGBK, Senayan.

Besides the deployment of police around the stadium, police at regional level will also be alerted. "Apart from the regional police personnel, police officers are also deployed outside the stadium, for example, to anticipate bottlenecks," he said.

Baharudin also gave the message to the people who will watch the semi-final match at SUGBK to effect an orderly manner. "We hope that the audience can apply an orderly manner so that all may go well," said Baharudin.
